From She Shed to custom Boutique
Primitive started as an escape, not a business plan. I walked away from a career in education, rented a garage, and filled it with vintage furniture, Christmas lights, and whatever made me laugh. People showed up. They shopped. They connected. And suddenly, I realized Primitive was bigger than me, it was a community.
Where it started
In The Beginning
I didn’t know retail. I didn’t know fashion. What I did know was people and I knew I needed something real after leaving a toxic environment behind. The garage turned into a She Shed, then into a hangout, then into a place people couldn’t stop talking about. One sweatshirt here, one patch there, and before I knew it, Primitive wasn’t just a side project. It was alive.
What Primitive has become today
Today, Primitive Boutique is a shop, a creative studio, and a party all rolled into one. Customers come in with their own gear or grab a blank from the shelf. Together, we design something that fits their vibe. They watch it get pressed right in front of them. They leave with a piece that doesn’t exist anywhere else. It’s messy. It’s loud. It’s honest. And that’s exactly the point.
